Re: Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail
Nice video. I got a brochure on the WNC Fly Fishing Trail at my local fly fishing source.
I fished the Tuckasseege for the first time last year. We were fishing Cherokee for a long weekend and hit the Tuck the first day. Caught a lot of Brookies and had a blast. We got skunked for the most part on the reservation. That is a great area to fish, wished I was closer.
My Avatar is from our trip to the Tuck.

The Tuck is one of NC's gems. Beautiful area...
The Cherokee Catch and Release section is a tough stretch to fish. It's pretty easy to get skunked on the 'luftee...
Re: Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail
I learned of this "trail" last spring after my thru-hike of the Foothills Trail. I had just been in that area and I remember when I crossed the Horsepasture River I was thinking "man would I love to have a fly rod right now". Being that I had hiked about fourteen miles in to this spot I bet it gets almost no pressure.

Apparently there are some BIG brownies in the Horsepasture.
