..For some excellent fishing next week. If we hold our jaws right, we might be looknig at the best week of fishing we've seen so far this year. Highs will gradually warm into the mid to upper 70's with abundant sunshine. Piedmont locations might reach the low to mid 80's by mid week. Start tying those flies in preparation!!! Spring isn't far off.

I am crossing the fingers for the week after next. Hopefully the warm weather next week will get the bugs going in full force when I head west. I can't wait!

Raining pretty hard here right now. I am afraid the first few days this week will be blown out possibly.

That's what I'm starting to worry about. By mid next week, any high water should recede though.

Oh yeah, just watched the radar as a possible tornado blew through the Murphy/Andrews area in NC (tornado warning for 30 minutes or so). I haven't heard of a confirmed tornado, so hopefully it stays that way. Aggressive t'storms look to be on tap for later today/tonight.

We got blasted pretty good in High Point tonight. I got to go stand in the rain until my crack was wet. Fair amount of damage but thankfully no serious injuries. One of the guys I work with had just got home from day shift when he saw the funnel cloud go by spewing lightning and making the characteristic freight train sound. Both the houses on either side of his got trashed and I saw some of his neighborhood tonight in the dark. It looked nasty. Lots of siding and insulation in the trees and garage doors in the street.

Here's one of the tornadoes that hit. This one was right around the Spencer area in Rowan County...
