Wilson Creek Tragedy...

Post by Tyler on Sat May 08, 2010 11:09 pm

I'm sure you guys remember the Wilson Creek accident a couple of weeks ago. Well, the daughter of the man who was killed commented on the blog. Here's what she said...

Hi - the man that drowned in this story was my dad. I have been looking on the web for information as I have been obsessed with trying to figure out how and why this happened. I am glad to see all these posting regarding safety.

My heart goes out to her and her family.

Yes, it is very tragic when a fellow sportsman dies doing what they love and I have sympathy for the family after such a loss.

Even in sorrow it is good that we can all step back and draw lessons out of tragedy. Appreciate every day and make sure that you are safe doing what you do.

I agree. I truly hope this incident opens the eyes of fisherman. Wading is dangerous but there are things we can do as anglers to prevent accidents like this from happening. Common sense plays a HUGE role in wading...
