Cameras?
New forum to the message board. Photography is used by many anglers. It serves as a way to remember those fishing trips from the past.
With that being said, what type of camera are you guys using?

Re: Cameras?
I use the Canon D10 for my outdoorsy adventures. It is a little bit odd shaped which makes it hard to use as a pocket camera. But it's stats are hard to beat: waterproof up to 10 meters, freeze proof up to -10 degrees, shockproof when dropped from a height of 1.22 meters and dust proof. I love the ability to take underwater photographs of the fish I catch and, paired with a Gorilla Grip tripod, I have set it up underwater to get video that is super cool. Definitely worth the $300 price tag.
Re: Cameras?
Here is a little video I tossed together from stuff I took on my last trip to Wilson Creek.

Nice! The Canon D10 is one great camera. The ability to take 12.1mp images and shoot HD videos on land or in the water is a fisherman's dream camera.
I've got a Canon EOS 20D along with a few Sony point and shoots. Canon makes some incredible products. I'm a big Canon fan.
Canon EOS 20D is a great camera. It's older, but it gets the job done and then some. Still looking to broaden my lens selection. Bad part is, the lens cost as much as the camera (some substantially more). Currently I have a Canon ES 75-300mm lens. It's great for landscape shots or for anything farther than 5 ft, so fish/tying pictures are too close for the lens to handle.
I'm looking at the Canon Vixia HD camcorders. Planning on making the move and buying one. Still doing some research though...

Re: Cameras?
I have a Nikon D5000 for my regular picture taking activities. It takes good pictures and has been kind of easy to learn how to use it. Most of my difficulties lay in my lack of basic camera knowledge and stuff like F Stops, etc. If I could work the camera in manual mode then I think I would get more good pictures. Sometimes I feel like the program modes hold me back. I completely agree with the lens comment. I wanted a 28-300 lens because I am tired of switching between my wide angle and telephoto lens all the time. However, given that it retails for what I paid for my whole kit, I don't think I will be getting one any time soon.
Re: Cameras?
Maybe I'm to cheap to upgrade or just live by if it aint broke but I still like my Pentax Optio 33.
