I've grown to love them. They float like a cork and are easy to cast. How many of you guys use Thingamabobbers?

I used one today but it kept sliding up my leader to the fly. Anyone know a quick fix for this? I like the idea but find the stick on foam floats easier to use. I also have some yarn indicators but also have the slippage problem.

I only use drys as indicators but I know how to fix a sliding thingamabober. Once you pass your loop through the hole twist the leader one time and then pull it up over the ball. I thought the same thing might happen and was told about that trick from an avid user of the product.

I am a fan. They are probably the best non-fly indicator I have tried. Work on all sorts of situations. Fished em on tailwater. They work even with the best educated fish. Wish they were a little cheaper per. With that said I've only broke one so far.

Small balloons work well too. Thingamabobbers were created by a couple of fly fisherman who used tiny balloons. They're cheap (a hundred in one bag) and float well.
