He had me goin for a while

I have a great story about yesterday. I was at the bridge to the Mitchell River house, fishing up towards it in that fast run. Out of the blue two girls show up and start setting up lawn chairs on the bridge. I thaught they where going to sit and watch their boyfriends fish the next hole up. NOPE all alone. So then they bust out a case of Corona put it in a net bag and drop it in the river, then they strip down into bikinis and proceed to sit there and read magazines. I was dumbfounded. The guy I was up there with talked to them a bit but I just fished a bit more in amazement. I didint get a strike (or just missed them all) so we moved on. Good thing Im not single or I could have gotten myself in a whole lot of trouble. I know it sounds like BS but my budy Ray can verify and if you ask around I bet someone else saw them. Best fishing hole EVER!

HA!! You know you're in NC when they chill their beer by dropping it into the river via a net bag....

I guess that gives new meaning to the term "Honey Hole".

I wonder if stocker trout are smart enough to uncap a bottle? Maybe that should be your next fly for the weekly contest, the "Corona Fly". I know if they tied a fly that looked like a glass of bourbon I would have a hole in my lip.
