Bead Chain Eyes- DIY
A lot of the time when I'm fishing Clouser styled flies I try to tie em in different weights. For the lighter one I use bead-chain for the eyes. Most fly shops have brass and silver available. I find it to be tedious to paint specific colors. Here's a quick solution.
Go to your local Lowe's Warehouse or similar store. Go to the lighting area and look for bead-chain pulls that are colored for certain interior themes. I have found deep red, pewter, black, and several more colors. hold up well and keep there color.

Hardware stores are like candy shops for fly tyers.
Also, craft stores have an unbelievable amount of stuff useful to fly tyers. I bought 10 sheets of 12" X 12" 2mm foam for $3. Still haven't run out of it...
