Suggestions for Week 3??

What fly sounds good for week 3? Also, I've noticed some folks are not able to participate in the weekly contest due to hectic schedules. Would you guys agree with starting a Friday afternoon to Monday evening sorta deal instead of just Monday evening? It would really offer a wide time frame for folks to post their bugs. Tell me what ya'll think.

Be fine with me. Like to see more folks try the patterns. It'll help you broaden your skills for sure.

Sounds real good to me. I work a long week (M, T, F, Sa) followed by a short week (Su, W, Th) that alternates from here till eternity. Long week SUCKS! Short week, too short. The extra time will give me a chance to get my supplies together since I don't seem to have much. I am enjoying this though. My first fly in a type always looks like a brain damaged monkey tried to tie it. Then they progressively get better. Eventually I will fool something into eating my creation and it will all be worth it.

How about a classic Smoky Mountain fly like the Tellico or the Thunderhead.

I betcha a million dollars you'll improve A LOT in the next few months. I've noticed several beginning tyers who started participating in an online tying contest over on the SEFFF. Their flies are now flawless after only a few months of tying.
