New Turbo Dubber Tool
I went to Bass Pro Shop today to see what they have in the way of tying materials (Orvis was a little too far for my wife's liking today). I looked at some rods and stuff then perused the tying stuff. I have been looking to get a tool to spin dubbing ropes to make life more interesting. I saw this tool before and it was economical enough that I said "what the hey."
Thing is, it didn't come with instructions so I am trying to figure out what the individual heads are for. I know the twin hook head is for spinning dubbing ropes but the other two loose me. The handle slot is a hair packer of some sort but I am not sure how that works either.
Any ideas? The net is fairly sparse on information about this tool other than "buy one".

Re: New Turbo Dubber Tool
I'm pretty sure each head is for different sizes of dubbing loops. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Re: New Turbo Dubber Tool
This is all I have found on it so far.....
Evidently the hooks and forks tie the loops easier than others or are best used with certain types of materials.
The original turbo dubber was created by Jan Siman of the Czech Republic. The original model had the wires from a dubbing spinner combined with a metal handle and a ball bearing head. The newer models have interchangeable heads and and some models have hooks, wire tips or forked ends. The bearing head allows the loop to be spun quickly, looped ends are used for making dubbing ropes with wire that can be stored for later use. The turbo dubbers are the most popular item offered due to the interchangeable features and ball bearing heads. ( Hareline Dubbin about $12.50)
Popular Turbo Dubber: Has a ball bearing head. Head spins. Handle is machined and has a slot to allow you to slide up and down hook shank and use a hair packer. 3 interchangeable heads. Has dubbing loop tool, hackle pliers and also a hook to use for making ropes. This is my most popular dubbing tool. ( Note: Some turbo dubbers come with a hackle pliers attachment instead of the forked head shown left . )
