Finally Fished some in January
This has been the hardest winter in along time for me to get to fish. Every trip seemed to have been killed with snow, ice, snow/ice, cold (below 25*) and/or high dirty flows.
Enough bitching about stuff.
Went to the neighbors this evening and fished nymphs for slow spooky bluegill. It was drizzling and around 40*. Still nice to be outside
A lot of cast and slow still water retrieves turned up a few fish.
Glad to get out and catch some fish

Unfortunately it looks like February will be cold and probably snowy once again kinda nice to have a week or two to "thaw out".
'Gills are tough to catch in the winter. It looks like you had no trouble what so ever catching them though!!

Every time I try and go fish we get some torrential rains that wash everything out. I only have a few chances to fish in a month and Mother Nature is not cooperating with me. It looks like I won't see the water any time soon.

I know how it feels!! I guess if you live an hour and 15 minutes from the nearest trout stream like I do, it's not worth taking the risk and finding the stream blown out and not fishable.
