DH streams are easy right?
I hadn't fished the local DH's all that much other than teaching my men-tee. Decided to head out to one to catch some easy dumb fish to give the ego a charge. Well when I got there the stream was clear of other fisherman. Not sure what that was sign of. Started with a Slumpbuster. Nothing :? Now the stream was seriously low and really clear. Goodly number of leaves sailing down stream too. I could see fish. They spooked at everything. Fished dry and dropper. Nothing. Attractor Dry. Nothing. Finally noticed a few sipping in one run. Stopped and watched for awhile. BWO's emerging Switched to a dry and the day turned 180*. Lots of wreck-less takes.
It can turn on a dime sometimes can't it?

Now that's what makes a day special. Wishing to do that myself, but plans didn't work out. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Very nice rainbow! Hatches can be life savers. It really is amazing how quickly fishing can change when a hatch is underway.

Nice picture! Hopefully we can catch a hatch when we head out this weekend.
