Howdy, y'all Empty Howdy, y'all

I live in Alexander County, and see from some recent posts there are some other newbies from my general neighborhood. Some of you may have seen me in a stream, waving my stick and creating the most hideously wild loops a fly-line has ever experienced.

I like to think of myself as a fly-tyer, but have been warned by real fly-tyers who've seen the product of my bench to please not say I learned fly-tying from them.

Seriously, I was searching for local contacts and info on rod-building and stumbled upon this forum. I hope to participate in that discussion, and hope to not wear out my welcome before I learn a few things. Tyler, thanks for allowing me to join.
