What are ya listening to?

If you've been to the Caster's website and enjoyed Dave's tying videos (and if you haven't, the question is why not?), you know he seems to favor Reggae for his soundtracks. Can't say I love it anymore than not, but after I learned up on the Heterogenius, I couldn't get Flintstone Rock oughtta my head for three days.

While I tied a few Caddis yesterday, The Stones Sticky Fingers was playing, and at the moment I'm having some Gourds Ghosts of Hallelujah.

What are y'all listening to, and what's your favorite tying soundtrack?

Dave does put a lot of reggae into his videos. Kind of puts a twist to them. I think some music incorporated into videos really helps to draw the audience in.

As far as music goes when tying, I listen to a lot of Boston, Rolling Stones, The Who, Beatles, Eric Clapton, CCR, Eagles, and a lot of 50's, 60's and 70's rock. Country is also high on my list.

I guess fly tying gets serious on my bench. I like a little Linkin Park, Disturbed, Nickleback, etc. However, it depends on what day it is. I might go with classics like Skynyrd or the Allman Brothers. I'll also do some country, especially if its got some drive to it like maybe some Jason Aldean.

I don't usually listen to music when I tie but with all this snow I started today. Pandora Radio is great. It's been a mix of Techno and 80's pop. Yes I am from here. No I don't listen to country or bluegrass. Tomorrow it may be a AC/DC day who knows

Ditto on Pandora. I've got it installed on my Droid and love it. Steve Miller Band Radio, CCR Radio, Van Halen Radio, Billy Joel Radio... Good stuff...

I usually listen to soft muted cursing and muffled sobs when I try to tie. The resulting ball of thread and fur makes the cursing louder.

I mostly listen to a mix of REM, bluegrass, and jazz to further muffle my noise.

Ha! Me too on the cursing...sometimes not muted.

It's mighty wet out there today. So, I've got some Old 97's and Tom Petty keeping me company while I tie up some Parachute Adams for a fly swap. Gotta send off the best 15 of them on Monday, so I figure I owe it to the recipients to field-test some over the weekend.
