Took a quick look at the generation schedule earlier this week and decided it was time to head back over to E Tn. All day wading flows and the possibility of sulphurs just couldn't be passed up.

I tied up a couple general prospecting nymphs the night before and decided to start off with this one, trailed with a stripper midge.

Fish were taking both about equally throughout the morning. Most were rainbows with a few smallish browns mixed in. The 'bow below turned out to be one of the better fish of the trip. He took the nymph and proceeded to bulldog the bottom, shaking his head like he thought he was a big brown.

Sulphurs started showing up around 2, it wasn't much of a consistent hatch but the fish still responded well to dries. Comparaduns and cripples produced a bunch of browns to finish off the day.

Sounds like an awesome day! Tailwater trout are some of the most colorful you'll run into. Those fish are no different. Glad you got out and took advantage of the great conditions.
