Hook: Dai-Riki #16 Dry Fly
Thorax: Deer hair cover with Fine and Dry dark tan.
Wing: Deer body hair
Head: Deer hair folded back in the 'Bullet Head' style
I saw this on a YouTube video. Should float like a cork. Good dry dropper candidate.

Re: Week 20... Caddis adult...
Sorry I'm late...Here's a caddis that actually works well as a dry or wet. Similar to the slow water caddis.
Hook - Orvis #18 barbless
Body - Rusty Brown Hare's Ear
Hackle - #18 Brown
Wings - Turkey Wing
One of my goals this year is learn how to take a picture.
Rollcast - I like it. Ought to float really nice. Your spinning looks good, especially for your first one.

likkerdup That should get a caddis eater interested for sure. Might shorten the wing to the bend of the hook to get proportion a little more.
roll cast That style fly is a really good pattern. The Irresitable style flies are similar in using deer or elk to build a body. I have found the scissors behind the hinge make a great (free) hair packer. How did you trim it?
MarkPTO That would be great on some of the close wild water around here. Might make the hackle a little fuller. What kind of a camera do you have?
On mine I just want to get a day to see if the idea holds up (pun alert). If the fly floats right I want to refine the thing a lot

Teach - I've got a Canon PowerShot and it takes good macro photos, I just can't seem to get the lighting right.
Re: Week 20... Caddis adult...
Mark One strategy is to hold the fly in your vise. Over the fly place your tying lamp and on the desk below place a mirror to reflect the light back up onto the underside of the fly. Lots of light makes a big difference.

roll cast you can also trim with a double edges razor blade. It gives a smooth rounded shape. Speaking from personal experience you can get cut.
I still don't make my Irresistible to suit myself. But the pattern slays wild fish.
