I decided to do a nymph and a dry, just for the fun of it.




March Brown Dry

Hook: Any dry fly hook
Thread: 6/0 Rusty
Tail: Brown spade hackle
Body: 1mm foam
Rib: Rusty 6/0 thread
Hackle: Grizzly and Brown mixed




March Brown Nymph

Hook: 2x long nymph hook
Thread: 6/0 Rusty
Tail: 3 pheasant tail fibers
Body: Brownish/gray hare's ear
Rib: Copper wire
Legs: Wood duck
Thorax: Brownish/grayish hare's ear
Wingcase: Scud backing
