I hate to be the bearer of the bad news (if you're not a snow lover), but it looks like western NC is a fixin' to be slammed by a big winter storm Friday night/Saturday. This will unfortunately add to the high water... Mad

Man! We can't catch a break this year on the wet weather. Every time I plan on escaping to the water I get shut down. Oh well... I guess it will mean more water come summer. At least I am off this weekend and will be at home with a beer and TV instead of freezing my keester on the street.

It's gonna disrupt the fishing, but like you said, it's really going to help come summer. Maybe we won't see a drought this summer.

Folks I live right in the middle of WNC. We could use some days to dry out. The streams are full or a lot are flood. Missed a lot of school days. My summer fishing is probably gonna be pond and closer streams. Good I live near a lot of water. Afternoon and night trips are ahead I fear Smile

We've had WAY to much rain in NC. It started back in... what?.. November? It seems like a big storm system rolls through once a week, with smaller disturbances hitting the mountains once or twice a week. February into early March is just going to be colder and possibly snowier, so winter's not over yet...

I feel your pain. Over the hill we've had so much rain that if you sweat in the water it'll blow out. Hopefully with all this cold and wet we'll see some hella nice hatches this Spring!

Nope. We'll have students all summer at this rate. Dec. and Jan, have been my slowest fishing in a very long time.

LOL John
Yeah, I think it's still there! Those pics were from the Little Pigeon, though, near my home in Pittman Center. I bet the Little River was even bigger! Little, Little, but both BIG.
