Got out to one of my usual haunts today, and decided to break out the new boo...


Lots of bugs in this creek



I tried nymphing for a while, but they seemed to prefer a para ant. Fish were kinda few and far between but it was enough to keep it interesting. 7 or 8 fish came to hand with many more spooked or missed.

Awesome pics, we went up one of those streams last week but maybe not far enough. We went up the trail by the old church and crossed the stream four times, about a mile or so. My son got a nice bow in one of the pools we found.

Did yall follow the stream the whole way, or did you take the trail that leads away from the stream then back to it?

The first few times I made the mistake of walking along the stream...you get to fish much more productive water if you take the other trail.

I think we took the other trail away from the stream. Does the bad one along the stream start to the left right after the old rusted engine? We went up the wrong trail by the stream and had to turn around. There are a lot of ticks along the stream. We should have gone up further than we did and will next time. All your pics are great!

yeah, the bad one is to the left...you're right about the ticks too, they suck!

That is awesome! Looks like you got into some pretty good fishing up there! BTW that boo is sick!
