Wilson Creek 3/9/10

I finally got to get out of the house and go fishing today! My buddy and I headed up to Wilson Creek for some post stocking nice weather fishing.

It was kind of chilly this morning but got nice in the afternoon. We started near the beginning of the DH section and were immediately on the fish. Mostly brook trout with a few rainbows throughout the day. Brookies on nymphs and dries and the Rainbows on nymphs. We fished dropper rigs for most of the day with a Stimulator as the indicator and a variety nymphs (Olive Flashback Hare's Ears, Olive Superman, Herero Genius Nymph, Prince Nymph, Stone Nymphs, etc.). My buddy Eric landed a pig rainbow for the fish of the day. I fell after my foot got trapped and took a dunk in the 40 degree water. That was a shocker!

After lunch we hit the end of DH section and again racked up on the trout! All in all Eric caught 50 fish and I probably caught 30. It was a great day!
