Stone Mountain - 10/14

Went to Stone Mountain last Thursday with my youngest son, Mark. The first pool we hit yielded several strikes, 3 LDR's and this bow.


The next pool we went to yielded nothing. The water was slow, low, and pretty clear, which surprised me. Then we saw two young men in the pool above us pulling out fish after fish, catching about 12 or so in an hour. After they left, we went to their pool and saw 20 - 30 fish, including a few 20+ inch monsters. We waited for the pool to calm down some and fished it for a while and caught the bow below.


If we were better fly fishermen, we would have caught much more. The fish seemed to be smartening up a little, as they turned away from most of what we threw at them. Still a great day to spend with my youngest, who also loves to fish!
