I still had some energy left after working around mom's place so I took those flies tied with deer hair instead of hackle. They Work! Not a new fly to my little wild creeks just a new material on a old stand-by. That somebody probably tied that way for a life time till those genetic engineers stepped in.

Caught lots of fish and here's several examples.

Believe till the fad dies off some this just might be a technique I'll continue to use Smile

Nice looking fish, even the small ones are fun this time of year. Without giving away any secrets, every time we fish a blueline, it involves much rock hopping and hard climbing. Are the creeks you fish a little more accessible with flatter terrain? It sure looks nice to see the grass around the creeks.

In this end of the world there are a lot of streams in pastures and beside roads that might not have the a lure of higher streams. But they hold fish. The best way to find these overlooked streams is while driving look around. Mostly rainbows rarely brook trout. Lots of fun for sure and usually stream born fish.

Down your way probably be bass and bluegill. Those of good too.

It's a hunt that can pay off.
